Rolling over any of these rectangles will show you the name of the file, as well as its path (the series of folders you open to find the actual file). Even with hundreds of thousands of files, it's really simple to see what the storage hogs are.
The larger the file, the larger the rectangular area of the grandperspective window it takes up. But whereas whatsize produces an interactive report in list form, grandperspective shows you visually. Whatsize does something similar to grandperspective - you tell it which folder or storage device to analyze, and it comes back with a report about what's taking up all the space in that folder or on that device.
